Art of Building

The stillness of architecture is profoundly compelling. It offers a unique space where I can focus entirely on form and aesthetics, unimpeded by human interaction. Through the lens, I merge architectural precision with the principles of graphic design, exploring the dynamic interplay of lines, space, light, and shadow.

Queen & Cooke

The Kewalo Theater, an elegant Art Deco landmark, was inaugurated by Consolidated Theatre on November 5, 1937, with a screening of Shirley Temple’s film Wee Willie Winkie. Located at the corner of Queen Street and Cooke Street, the theater is situated in a rapidly developing urban area and is within walking distance of the Honolulu Rail Transit Project, which was still under construction at the time. The photograph was taken on February 9, 2019.
